To start the year, They Lie is a meditative Roots Reggae track, Asha D is the songwriter, drummer and lead vocalist.
Artikal Band are the musicians with whom he has been performing since the mid-90s... At a time when corruption, disguised or not, is at the heart of the news for many, It is time to focus on it. The population is witness to a large number of lies
organized by the States. Far from the values that we wish for our children.
This piece is a wink, a dedication to our leaders in constant search of their interests, before those of the population. An open letter, too, to our dear Freedom of Expression
The Live session video will be unveiled on January 23, 2023.
This is a new step for Asha D and Artikal Band. Usually, it is in backing band mode that they go on stage for many artists from the French and Jamaican scene and in particular Yaniss Odua since 2010.
This time they are getting ready to send Asha D, also the band's drummer, to the front of the stage!!
He is accompanied by Artikal Band, Backing band reggae, formed in 1995 in Montpellier in France. The group has forged its experience through unexpected artistic encounters over the years.
From 2010 until today, Artikal Band accompanies the star of French reggae, YaniSs Odua. Tours, live DVDs, with more than 50 dates per year, including the key dates at the Zéniths in Paris, St Etienne, Rouen, Lille, and even Pau, the band criss-crosses France and Europe, sharing with natural and authenticity, their passion for music.

In 2021, Asha D produces two Eps, one with Mark Cupidore from Trinidad and one with Bobby Hustle from California, as well as a Single with the greats U Brown and Rod Taylor from Jamaica.
His Solo EP “The Pressure” was released in June 2022, the deluxe album version Dub Showcase is also available, he entirely self-produced this project. Note the guest musicians and singers Dean Fraser, Taïro and Queen Omega.
